Sandwich Fair Museum
There will be a History Hunt again from the Fair Museum. It
is a good way to have some fun and learn about the fair - past
and present. Stop during the fair at the museum to pick up a
copy of the Hunt
and have it back
to the museum
by 5:00 Sunday
evening,
September 13.
A
winner will be
drawn from the
correct entries.
A gi昀琀 basket will
be the prize. Answers can be
found around the
grounds. Items
from the past
fairs are on display at the museum and the red Baudino trailer next to the Hospitality Pavilion. New dona琀椀ons this year
are the Wold sample canes won by a local person and the old
wooden telephone used many years ago by the Grandstand
琀椀cket o昀케ce, also by a local person. In the wall display pages
are photos, posters, and etc. from the fairs ending with 6 - i.e.
1896, 1906, 1916 and other years ending with 6. The museum
is one of the places to get ac琀椀vity books stamped. It is located
south of the windmill in the former Secretary’s O昀케ce and is
open every day of the fair. Look for a small dark green building. – Joan Hardekopf
