Ingredients
6 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. ground cardamom
1 1/2 cup 昀氀our
1 tsp. baking powder

1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup melted butter
3 Tbsp. butter for frying
Instructions
Step 1 - Mix eggs, sugar, and cardamom together in a big bowl.
Step 2 - Add in 昀氀our, baking powder, and salt.
Step 3 - Mix these ingredients and beat in sour cream and butter
until the batter is smooth. Let the batter sit for about 20 minutes
before you begin making the waf昀氀es.
Step 4 - Heat up the waf昀氀e iron and brush some butter on the
surface of the iron.
Step 5 - Pour 1/4 cup batter over the iron and wait for the waf昀氀e
to become light brown.
Step 6 - Remove waf昀氀e (watch out, it’s hot!) and serve warm.
Step 7 - Top with lingonberries, jam, whipped cream, or sour
cream. Try different toppings or make a waf昀氀e sandwich.
Skip the Table Treats: Chocolate, onions, grapes, and
artificial sweeteners such as xylitol are toxic - stick to petsafe snacks.
Decorate Wisely: Keep tinsel, ornaments, and lights out
of reach to avoid curious paws and accidental ingestions.
Choose Safe Scents: Avoid open flames and try simmer
pots, soy, or beeswax candles for a cozy, pet-friendly glow.
Protect Those Paws: Apply paw wax before walks and
rinse off salt or ice melt afterward to prevent irritation.
Avoid Hidden Hazards: Non-stick Teflon pans can
release fumes harmful to pets, especially birds. Choose
stainless steel or cast iron instead.
